The Faribault Police Department is working with the National Weather Service and In-House Meteorologist Chief Sherwin in keeping an eye on the weather and the event is currently on as scheduled. If that changes, you can receive updates from the Faribault Police Department Facebook page, the Safe Summer Kickoff 2026 event page and a notification will be sent via the Safe Summer Kickoff App.

We couldn't put this event on without the help of our amazing volunteers. Each year, Safe Summer Kickoff continues to grow, which means we need more helping hands. If you or anyone you know is interested, please email Detective Ali Fillipi as soon as you're able at afillipi@faribaultmn.gov
